About Us

On August 7th Wales will be almost completely unlocking if the science permits it. We at the Horseshoe recognise that many of our customers feel safe with our approach to social distancing and COVID19 protection. Therefore, even if the restrictions are lifted on August 7th, many of our COVID responses will remain until the infection rate reduces significantly.

We will maintain socially distanced tables.

We will continue to offer table service and no service at the bar.

Our staff will continue to wear masks when serving you. We will require customers to continue to wear masks when entering and leaving the pub and when moving around.

We will keep The Horseshoe well ventilated.

If the current indoor restriction of 6 people from 6 different households is removed, we will apply a restriction of 8 people from 6 different households (this will include children). We will not split a booking into several tables.

We are a country pub in The Brecon Beacons National park that prides itself on its pub food and ambience. Our menu is created from local ingredients by our chefs.

In the summer you can while away the afternoons and evenings under the spectacular landscape of the Garn Wen and Mynydd Garnwen hills. You will see Red Kites and Buzzards hovering overhead, oh!, and not a few sheep grazing the fields in front of the pub.

In the winter, log fires and oil lamps set the cosy ambience for the bar and dining room.
